Guidelines
Submissions to the New College Review are open to all University of Alabama students. Submissions are generally accepted in the Fall semester, from September to November. Late submissions are considered if space in the magazine is still available (to increase chances of approval, submit your work ASAP).
The Theme selected for the year should be considered when submitting your work, and you may submit multiple pieces, to more than one category. Submission categories include (but are not limited to):
- Fiction
- Nonfiction
- Poetry
- Art
- Photography
Due to limited space on the magazine, fiction and nonfiction submissions should be limited to 2,500 words.
Once reviewed by the NCR staff, you will be contacted about your submission.
How to Submit
The author/artist’s name and title of the piece should be included in the body of the email as well as on any attached documents.
